Epsom-Anaesthesia

What is an Anaesthetic

General Anaesthesia

The term used when inducing sleep in the patient, enabling the patient to have no memory or feeling during their procedure.

This is usually achieved with a combination of drugs which together produce sleep, memory loss, pain relief and relaxation. Your anaesthetist modifies the doses you receive according to your age, weight, and measured heart rate, blood pressure, the type of procedure and your general physical state.
